NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF FOWLER PLANNING COMMISSION

CONSIDERATION OF Zoning Test Amendment
No. 09-02 (CITY OF FOWLER)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Fowler Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the following matter: 

Zoning Text Amendment No. 09-02: The City Council has initiated Zoning Text Amendment No. 09-02 to define homing pigeons and limit pigeons as a permitted use to certain zone districts, and also to consider banning pigeons in the City limits due to health and safety concerns. 

The City has determined that the above referenced project is categorically exempt from the requirements of CEQA under Section 15305 (Class 5) of the CEQA Guidelines - Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations. Class 5 consists of minor alterations in land use limitations which do not result in any changes in land use or density.

The hearing date is:

City of Fowler Planning Commission:  Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at the City Hall Council Chambers at 128 S. 5th Street, Fowler, California.

The staff report on this matter is available to the public at least three days prior to the public hearings and may be reviewed at Fowler City Hall located at 128 S. 5th Street.  All interested persons are invited to comment on the project.
