CHILDREN’S PARADE – Saturday, December 5, 2009
Bring the kids dressed up for the Christmas holiday. Come as Santa, a present, a reindeer, or just decorate a bike or wagon to help usher Santa into Fowler! Come all for the fun of being in the parade, the more, the merrier. We will meet at the Fowler Food Center located at 220 E. Merced at 2:45 pm, and will be lead by the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts who will present the colors at the tree.
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING - Saturday, December 5, 2009 – Downtown Merced Street
Come on out and enjoy the events in downtown Fowler beginning at 2 pm. The fun will begin with the Children’s parade at 3 pm. Kids will be able to take pictures with Santa. There will be plenty of food booths, craft booths, and the downtown merchants will have their doors open until 6 pm. This year we will be featuring Christmas Karaoke, so bring your best voice. The Christmas tree will be lit at dusk between 5:30 and 5:45 pm.
CHILDREN’S SHOPPING DAY - Saturday, December 12, 2009 – Edwin Blayney Center
This is a fun event for kids up to the 5th grade. From 1 pm – 3 pm, children can come and buy presents for mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, brother and sister. All items are priced at $1 and are wrapped so it can go right under the tree when they get home. 4-H kids will be available as personal shoppers to help your child who may not be old enough to shop by themselves. Parents are not allowed in the shopping area, this is special time for your child to shop for you! The Edwin Blayney Center is located at 108 N. 3rd Street, across from Panzak Park.
