The Recreation Commission voluntarily plans, organizes and facilitates community events, music, sports, games, plays, celebrations, and similar activities, including:
- Annual Blossom Trail City Springfest Celebration in Panzak Park.
- Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
- Fowler’s Fabulous 4th of July Celebration
The Recreation Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor serving a two year term commencing July 1st
- Four commissioners appointed in even numbered years
- Three appointed in odd numbered years
- Chairman elected by commissioners every January – Chairman appoints vice-chairman and secretary to serve one year
- Must reside within the incorporated limits of the City of Fowler, within the City’s approved Sphere of Influence, or within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Fowler Unified School District
Meetings held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 128 S. 5th St, Fowler, CA.
