The Fresno County Fire Protection District (FCFPD) has issued an official letter outlining the City’s current fire protection arrangement, available for any organizations or agencies seeking information.
The City of Fowler is actively served by the Fresno County Fire Protection District (FCFPD) under a formal agreement with CAL FIRE. Residents and businesses continue to receive full emergency response and fire protection services through a staffed and equipped regional station. While recent ISO rating changes may affect some insurance policies due to distance metrics, Fowler remains fully covered with improved response times and no missed calls for service. A recent Fresno County Civil Grand Jury review identified several areas where the City of Fowler can improve how it manages and communicates about its water system. The City agreed with the findings and has already taken steps to strengthen staff training, improve reporting, update the Public Works/Water webpage, and plan for long-term water system improvements. These efforts include new water treatment facilities, additional wells, and expanded water quality monitoring, all aimed at ensuring safe, reliable drinking water and greater transparency for residents.

The Consolidated Mosquito Abatement District (CMAD) has issued a Notice of Intent to apply public health pesticides for mosquito control in, over, and near waters within its service area during January 1–December 31, 2026. These applications are part of CMAD’s ongoing efforts to monitor and reduce mosquito populations and protect public health.
